I am back!!

Many many wishes for a Very very HappY, BleSsEd and WondeRfuL New Year!! Welcome 2012!!

I know, I know, I have not blogged anything in the year 2011 and surely did miss all the precious readers of my blog!! So, where do I start?

I actually thought of writing a blog last year few times, but was either too exhausted with things or not knowing what could be written. But, good news to all of you is that I am back -- Lucky you!! Haha!!

So, did I miss writing the blog? I think yes and no. I guess, I was (to certain extent am) not really knowing why should I be writing. Besides, writing (like most all other hobbies) needs to come from within you and as such I think it's hard to think practically and set a goal of these many number of blogs during this much time interval.
DISCLAIMER: By no means I am claiming here to be a 'writer'; when I say writing, most of the times I just mean blogging the thoughts/views/memories that come to my mind and something that I feel could be shared over the net with all you readers.

So, now that I have already mentioned last year was pretty exhaustive, I am keeping my fingers crossed to see what 2012 has to unveil for me!
Oh well, it was also my fault to certain extent that I did not take any vacation/break starting January 2011 and then towards the end of the year I guess I was just about to collapse :P Anyhow, I should mention my small trip to East Coast towards October end (visiting Shubhangi for the first time since I came to US!) and then of course a visit to my family back in India in Dec 2011. I guess, a time away from your diurnal activities is very important to rejuvenate yourself and also it gives/adds a different perspective towards one's daily routine.

During my trip to east coast, Shubhangi, Amruta and myself went to Smokey Mountains and I must say that I felt so blessed to see the heavenly view of fall colors! No words, photos, pictures, videos or anything else can describe how beautifully the nature could render itself! Have you ever felt that something could be so beautiful/brilliant/astonishing that you get tired of admiring it and still feel that you have not given enough justice? Yeah, then you know what I mean!!

Trip to India was as usual -- great to see parents, brother, cousins, aunts/uncles, and of course friends (Prajakta, Prachi, Shailesh, Pratik)! It's nice to meet everyone and be at home! It seems weird but every time I go to India I fall sick due to weather change I guess. I did miss my life in US during my India trip for sure though, felt strange, but yes....
As you know, life in India is changing at a rapid rate and things are getting more and more westernized that I wonder if I we will actually start missing small small things that used to be there! It occurred to me most significantly when I was trying to shop for Indian-style kurtis (short tops to wear on jeans) and oh my God it's so hard to find any of these in Pune :O :O Luckily, FabIndia did save me, Kudos to FabIndia!! If you have not been there you should definitely check out their collection -- oh and I also got a pretty necklace for myself, cute cute!!

Recently, I also bought a DVD collection related to ancient aliens and it does seem super interesting!! The focus is mainly on knowing if we (our earth) were ever visited by aliens and if/how they might have affected us, and whether their existence may help understand some of the miracles/wonders which are still mysteries to us. I may write more on it latter sometime..

All in all, I guess, I have given plenty of updates from my side and have tried my best to keep the post feel pretty light! I think, being light hearted, adding a bit (or more) of humor here and there, and staying optimistic helps many a times.... So, may be now I can include some food for thoughts before I finish this post: Different people have different ideas about what happiness means to them.. Although, I wonder if by defining the happiness in a certain way are we just trying to make our lives easier so that what we are doing and for what/whom we are doing it, does seem right and convincing to ourselves? Doing the right thing is not easy always as we know, I also feel that knowing (deciding) what is right at a given moment is not always easy either..

For now, let me bid a good-bye and will try to be back soon! Wishing you the very best in this year!!

Happiness Always,
Amita
